Enema is the process of injecting fluid inside your anal orifice for the purpose of breaking down the large amounts of sludge that are accumulated as wastes.
Therefore, effective colon cleansing uses enema for better effect and efficient cleaning. However, there are certain things that you should always remember when you are opting for colon cleansing using enema.
Firstly, enema is a very intense process and has high chances of being abused by people.
However, if you abuse enema then you will be the one to suffer as it will become very painful for you and you will not be able to excrete faeces without enema first.
Basically, our anal system is not designed in a manner that allows for rear penetration and therefore it is bound to be problematic if not done properly and gently. So, you should take extreme care while practising enema.

Thirdly, never use enema on a daily basis. If you say, are undergoing colon cleanse through enema, then using it for more than seven days at a stretch will make you addicted to it.
At that point, you will have severe trouble with Bowel movement as without the enema you will simply not be able to poop.
Fourthly, if you are pregnant then you may have second thoughts on taking enema for constipation etc. however, it is completely safe. Enema for pregnant ladies becomes unsafe only at the point where they start using herbs in their enema.
Clear water enema is beneficial for constipation in pregnancy but use of herbs may harm the mother as well as the child within.
So, better not take any risk and use only colon cleansing enema of the clean water type.
