SHOUTS TO NOBODY FAMOUS FOR THE CHECK IN

"Apparently you morons didn’t understand me the first time. I CANNOT take time off from work. I’m not putting my familys wellbeing at stake to participate in this crap. I don’t believe in our “justice” system and I don’t want to have a goddamn thing to do with it. Jury duty is a complete waste of time. I would rather count the wrinkles on my dogs balls than sit on a jury. Get it through your thick skulls. Leave me the f–k alone."

Up-and-coming Atlanta rapper Dolla was shot and killed in an altercation outside a shopping mall in Los Angeles on Monday, May 18th. He was 21 years old. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Dolla was gunned down while he waited at the Beverly Center’s mall valet with rappers DJ Shabbazz and Scrapp DeLeon. Dolla’s publicist said that before the shooting, a man and woman were trailing the rapper. Police have “two persons of interest” in custody; cops picked up one man at the ticketing area of the Los Angeles International Airport with a gun in his possession. As of this morning, the man in custody, Aubrey Berry, has been charged with murder, TMZ reports.
Dolla was in Los Angeles to continue work on his debut album, A Dolla & A Dream. Born Roderick Anthony Burton II in Chicago, the rapper’s family relocated to Atlanta from L.A. when he was five after his father’s suicide. First a member of the Elektra-signed Da Razkalz Kru, Dolla made his way up the Atlanta hip-hop scene and was eventually recruited by Diddy to be a model for his Sean John fashion line. Around the same time, Dolla hooked up with Akon, who signed Dolla to his Konvict Music Records in 2007, and Dolla recorded the hit “Who the Fuck Is That?” with T-Pain, which reached Number 82. His follow-up single “Feelin’ Myself” was featured on the Step Up soundtrack. “He had a very promising career,” Dolla’s publicist Sue Vannasing said yesterday. “He was being hyped as the next Tupac [Shakur]. He chose music to get off the streets.”
According to TMZ, authorities picked up Aubery Berry at the airport. “As the officers approached the suspect, they asked him ‘Do you know why we’re here?’ ” airport police spokesman Sgt. Jim Holcomb told the AP. “He put his [hands] up in the air and said, ‘Yes, I’ve got a gun in my waistband. Don’t shoot me.’ ” Police recovered a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun from Berry, who is reportedly being held on $1 million bail.
“My music is universal,” Dolla wrote on his MySpace page. “I can do street music or pop music. But whatever I do, I attempt to make meaningful songs with substance.”

"Even though all our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media. He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior. As I have always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions. We at Grand Hustle can not support or condone the blaming of others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray to god bless his financial plans, but I don’t forsee me or my company playing a role in his personal or professional business. End."

Court records show that Cedric “Alfamega” Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in September 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover federal agent). Zellars “agreed to cooperate with authorities and was debriefed” about the criminal activity of several individuals. “In particular he was debriefed concerning the drug trafficking activities of a Mr. Ali Baaqar,” according to a government court filing, a copy of which you’ll find below. During his cooperation against Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial. “Ali Baaqar was convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin based upon the trial testimony of [Zellars] and others.” In return for his snitching, Zellars had 18 months shaved off his prison term when he was resentenced in July 1997 by Judge J. Owen Forrester.

The man responsible for a 2006 car wreck involving late
The Beaumont Enterprise reports that Shawn Donnell Jones was sentenced last week for his role in the incident.
According to the Jefferson County District Attorney's office, Jones fired a round from an SKS assault rifle at two men who left the scene of a music video being filmed on the west side of Port Arthur.
After the round shattered the car’s rear windshield, a chase ensued as Jones fired at the two men several times.
At least six rounds from the weapon struck the car.
Soon after, the vehicle struck Pimp C’s car at an intersection, ending Jones’ assault. Authorities later captured Jones and his accomplice, Joseph Paul Smith.
During the chase, Smith drove the car while Jones fired shots. The court hearing marks the latest in a string of encounters between Jones and police.
The 38-year-old’s previous episodes include 19 previous criminal convictions in addition to 90 incidents of misconduct while incarcerated.
Jones’ sentencing is a step forward, in the eyes of prosecutor Pat Knauth.
"We were most gratified by the jury verdict against a chronic offender who has been a terror in the city of
“Who knows who else might have been injured or killed by his actions if the police hadn't been right on top of this situation?"
Factors in the decision against Jones included video footage of the chase as well as Jones' fingerprints on a partially empty box of bullets and a clip from the assault rifle.
Both items had been thrown from the car during the chase. To be considered for parole, Jones must serve at least 30 years of his prison sentence.
Another aggravated assault charge involving Jones is pending. A trial for that case will take place tomorrow (May 4).
